SINGLES
Contact Cathy Richard (ncbeachcat@yahoo.com) to sign up to be part of the new BNC singles group. Our first get together will be at Fishy Fishy the evening of Sunday, October 4th. We will be deciding possible activities for the upcoming year. This is your chance to have input into making our group what YOU would like it to be!
Feel free to come alone or bring a single friend or neighbor. This is a new group so we will all be making new friends and planning fun activities together! Some ideas we are considering: a monthly Saturday night dinner group, a weekly coffee morning, a book club, movies, kayaking, biking, etc.
COUPLES BRIDGE
We have a group of couples that meets the third Friday of the month for bridge. There are two tables, at each house, and we rotate hosts. We have a list of regular players and subs, if you cannot make the session. We will be playing September to November and January to May. SAILING
COME AND SAIL WITH US ON A 52' SAILING YACHT "THE CAROLINA GALE"
Picture yourself aboard a large and stable sailboat, sailing on the beautiful waters of our local area
with a group of your friends or family, enjoying the breeze and gorgeous sunset. Priority sailing is making available October and November for Brunswick newcomer’s club members to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the 52' "Carolina gale at a special rate of $50 per person (normally $70). We must have a group of
six people to offer the $50 per person. The sunset cruise is three hours and departs from Southport’s old
yacht basin next to "Fishy Fishy" restaurant at 4 p.m. You may bring finger food and your beverages of choice. We need a 25% deposit a week before the cruise.

Fall kayak tours for the Brunswick new comers club:
Tuesday, October 6 - Montgomery slough - (salt marsh creek kayak tour) - meeting at 8:30 am at 39th St West on oak island
tour fee $40.00 ($5.00 off our regular fee) bring your own boat - $25.00 fee for a single and $40.00 for a double.
Monday, October 19 upper Lockwood folly (tidal black water river with old cypress trees) - meeting at
9:30 am at the Hardee's in supply, NC
Tour fee $40.00 ($5.00 off our regular fee) bring your own boat - $25.00 for a single and $40.00 for a double.
Thursday, November 12 rice creek - (black water river with huge old cypress trees) meeting at 9:30 am at
the Exxon station on hwy 87. Tour fee $40.00 ($5.00 off our regular tour fee) bring your own boat fee $25.00
for a single and $40.00 for a double.

All tours begin with a basic beginner kayak lesson, 2 hour guided tour, kayak, paddle and life jacket.
Please wear shoes that you can get wet, sun protection (sun screen, sun glasses and hat) and bring water to drink.
