Three opportunities remain in the 2009-2010 BNC year to participate in one of our most enjoyable activities – wine tasting. Your Wine Tasting Committee has developed themes for these events, which are a great way to meet people over a glass a wine – you don’t need to be a wine connoisseur – what we’re looking for is people who would enjoy a fun social occasion where one can sample a glass (or two) of wine with a congenial group and learn a little bit about wine at the same time.
Last but certainly not least – it’s not a wine tasting but mark your calendars NOW for the final event of the BNC year. The Wine Tasting and Social Committees are working together on a great end-of-year bash, scheduled for Thursday, May 20th at the Southport Community Center. We’ll gather about 4:30 for a catered barbeque (details to follow) while we enjoy some nice music and enjoy the beautiful location right there on the Cape Fear River. More details to follow!
The cost is $15.00 per person. Sign up at the monthly BNC meeting or, if you miss the meeting, mail or deliver your check (payable to BNC) to Bill and Cyn Young, 3180 Wexford Way, Southport, 28461 (that’s in St. James). Their phone number is (908)797-8563. If you mail a check, the envelope must be postmarked by 6pm of the cut-off date. When signing up, be sure to provide attendee’s name(s), date desired, e-mail address, and phone number. “We will e-mail you before the event with a list of participants in your group, the name of your host, and directions.
